One of its highlights is material from the ancient site of Tamuda, located southwest of modern Tetouan, alongside Roman-era discoveries from other parts of northern Morocco. The museum provides a useful introduction to the region's history before and during the Roman period and is relatively compact, making it easy to include in a city sightseeing itinerary.
