Tetouan Medina
Free AccessTetouan Medina is the historic heart of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its remarkably preserved urban fabric and strong Andalusian influence. Its narrow streets lead through traditional houses, artisan workshops, food markets, small shops, mosques, and historic squares, giving visitors a chance to experience one of northern Morocco's most distinctive old cities. Exploring the medina itself is free, although visitors may choose to hire a local guide, purchase handicrafts, or stop at traditional cafes and restaurants along the way. The medina is best explored on foot because many of its streets are too narrow for regular vehicles.
